Providing Everything You Need


On your first visit to Broomhill Climbing Works everyone will need to register as an 'Experienced Climber' or 'Adult Novice.'

Minimum age is 9 years old at Broomhill Climbing Works and all 9-17 year olds need to be supervised by an 'Experienced Climber'. Please note supervisors will have to pay entry cost or supervision cost.
Experienced 14-17 year olds will need to carry out a junior assessment or obtain a green card from our sister wall The Climbing Works to climb unsupervised.
Adults
An Experienced Adult Climber is someone who feel confident bouldering at an indoor wall. They climb regularly and understands the safety rules.
An adult novice climber is someone who has little or no climbing experience of bouldering. You will need to attend an induction or have an Experienced Adult Climber to supervise you.
9 - 17 Year Olds
NO Under 9 year olds can climb in the centre
An experienced climber is someone who feels confident bouldering an an indoor wall. They climb regularly and understand the safety rules.
If this applies to your 14-17 year old then they can do a junior assessment to climb independently.
14 - 15 year olds must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian for their junior assessment.
16 - 17 year olds can attend the junior assessment alone, but a parent/ legal guardian will need to fill out the waiver beforehand.
All 9-13 year olds will need to be supervised.
Any 14 - 17 years old who have little or no experience bouldering will need to attend an induction or be supervised by an Experienced Adult Climber.
Supervising adults will need to pay a fee of £5 if they are not climbing.
